Artist Royalty Promotion (Instagram) Terms and Conditions

Follow @squarebash on Instagram and provide your Instagram handle in the artist application form to enter. Three entrants will be selected at random to receive 20% royalties on qualifying card sales for the first three months after their design goes live (standard royalty 12%). By "live" we mean that the design has been made available for sale on squarebash.com.
1. Eligibility and who can enter
1.1 Who can enter
Open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 or over.
1.2 Exclusions
Employees of Squarebash, their families, agents, or anyone professionally connected with this promotion are not eligible.
1.3 One entry per person
Limit one entry per person. If you have several artist pages on Instagram, or you produce work under different artist aliases, you must consolidate your portfolios and submit a single application only. Other Instagram handles can be provided in the additional information box at the bottom of the form for our reference. Please note that if we discover any attempt to circumvent these requirements, you may be disqualified. This is to prevent fraudulent entries that may result in an unfair advantage.
2. Offer summary and prize
2.1 What the three winners receive
Three selected entrants will receive a royalty rate of 20% on qualifying sales of their approved card designs for the first three calendar months from the date the design is first made available for sale on squarebash.com. The standard royalty rate is 12%; the winners' rate for the promotional period will be 20%.
2.2 Qualifying sales
Qualifying sales are retail sales of the winners' card designs made through squarebash.com where the card is sold at full or discounted price and payment is successfully received by Squarebash. Qualifying sales exclude VAT, refunds, chargebacks, cancelled orders, taxes, duties, third-party marketplace fees, and delivery charges. Squarebash will calculate royalties on the net sale amount as defined in Section 6.
2.3 What is not included
Any optional extras (premium personalisation beyond the agreed design, gift wrap, expedited shipping) are excluded from the royalty calculation unless expressly agreed in writing.
3. How to enter
To enter the promotion you must, during the Promotion Period:
- Follow @squarebash on Instagram; and
- Complete and submit the Squarebash artist application form at squarebash.com/apply and provide your correct Instagram handle in the form.
Only entries that satisfy both requirements will be eligible for selection. By entering you confirm that the Instagram handle you provide is your own and that you have the right to grant the licences described in Section 6.
4. Promotional period
Start date: 00:01 BST on 10th September 2026.
End date: 23:59 GMT on 10th November 2026 or earlier/later if the promotional period is withdrawn/extended. Subject to review on 10 October 2026.
Availability: The offer is subject to availability and may be withdrawn at any time. Squarebash reserves the right to end the promotion early if necessary.
5. Selection of winners and notification
5.1 Selection method
Three people will be selected at random from the pool of entrants who have both followed @squarebash on Instagram and provided a correct Instagram handle in the artist application form.
5.2 Timing
The random selection will take place within 7 days of the Promotion End Date.
5.3 Notification
The winners will be contacted via Instagram direct message to the Instagram handle provided in the application form and by the email address supplied in the application form. The winners must respond within 14 days of contact to accept the prize and to complete any onboarding required to list their design on squarebash.com. If the winners does not respond within that time, Squarebash reserves the right to select an alternative winners at random from the remaining eligible entrants.
6. Royalty calculation and payment
6.1 Net sales definition
Royalties are calculated on the net sale amount for each qualifying sale, defined as the gross sale price charged to the customer less VAT, refunds, chargebacks, discounts applied at point of sale, and delivery charges.
6.2 Royalty rate and period
The winners will receive 20% of net sales for qualifying sales of their approved design(s) for the first three calendar months from the date the design is first made available for sale on squarebash.com. After the promotional period ends, the standard royalty rate of 12% will apply unless otherwise agreed in writing.
6.3 Payment schedule
Royalties will be reported monthly and paid within 30 days of the end of each calendar month. Each payment will be accompanied by a royalty statement showing units sold, gross sales, deductions, and the net royalty due. Payments will be made to the bank account or payment method provided by the winners during onboarding. Squarebash may withhold payment pending verification of identity or to offset any amounts owed by the winners to Squarebash.
6.4 Returns and chargebacks
If a sale is refunded, cancelled, or charged back after a royalty has been paid, Squarebash reserves the right to deduct the refunded amount from future royalty payments or to invoice the winners for the overpayment.
6.5 Audit rights
Squarebash will keep accurate records of sales and royalties. The winners may request reasonable supporting information relating to royalty calculations. Any audit rights are limited to verification of the winnerss' royalties and must be exercised no more than once per 12‑month period on reasonable notice and at the winnerss' expense unless a material error is found.
7. Verification and disqualification
7.1 Verification
Squarebash may require proof of identity, age, address, and ownership of the Instagram account provided. Squarebash may check that the Instagram handle provided follows @squarebash at the time of selection.
7.2 Incorrect or missing handle
If an entrant provides an incorrect, incomplete, or fake Instagram handle, or if the handle cannot be verified as following @squarebash at the time of selection, that entry will be disqualified.
7.3 Fraud and abuse
Squarebash reserves the right to refuse or cancel entries and to disqualify entrants where it suspects fraud, abuse, multiple accounts, or breach of these Terms.
8. Data protection and use of personal data
8.1 What we collect
We will collect personal data provided in the artist application form (including name, email address, delivery address where applicable, and Instagram handle) and any data necessary to verify that you follow @squarebash on Instagram.
8.2 How we use it
Data is used to administer the promotion, verify eligibility, contact the winners, onboard the winners, and fulfil royalty payments. If you opt in to marketing, we may contact you with offers; you may unsubscribe at any time.

9. Instagram disclaimer
This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram. By entering, you confirm that you are providing your information to Squarebash and not to Instagram, and that Instagram has no responsibility for this promotion.
10. Liability and indemnity
10.1 Indemnity
The winners will indemnify and hold harmless Squarebash against any claims, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from breach of the warranties in Section 5 of this document, Section 3 of the Artist Application & Submission Terms, or from the winners' negligence or wilful misconduct.
10.2 Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Squarebash's liability for any loss or damage arising out of or in connection with this promotion is limited to the total royalties actually paid to the winners under these Terms. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by Squarebash's negligence or for any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
11. Changes, cancellation, and force majeure
11.1 Right to amend
Squarebash reserves the right to amend, suspend, or cancel the promotion or these Terms at any time for legal, regulatory, technical, or operational reasons. Material changes will be notified on squarebash.com where reasonably practicable.
11.2 Force majeure
Squarebash will not be liable for failure to perform where such failure is due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
12. Complaints and contact
12.1 Questions or complaints
Email: info@squarebash.com. We will acknowledge complaints within 5 business days and aim to resolve them promptly.
13. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising from or connected with these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of this region.
14. Miscellaneous
14.1 No third party endorsement
This promotion is run solely by Squarebash and is not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by any third party other than as expressly stated in these Terms.
14.2 Entire agreement
These Terms, together with our Website Terms of Use and Privacy Notice, constitute the entire agreement between you and Squarebash in relation to this promotion.
